A package of protein, different vitamins and ample amount of calcium, phosphorous and zinc, an egg has everything to fulfil your daily dietary needs. People often include eggs in their breakfast, lunch and dinner in different forms like omelettes, toast and soft boiled eggs and even raw. - Hard-boiled eggs

Things you’ll need near you:
For Hard-Boiled Eggs–
- Large pan
- Eggs (depending upon the size of your pan)
- Vinegar – 1 teaspoon of salt- half teaspoon
For Soft-Boiled Eggs–
- Large pan
- Eggs (again depends upon the size of your pan)
- A bowl or a cup filled with uncooked grains
- Blunt knife
Method 1: Hard- boiled eggs
- Take out the refrigerated eggs and place them in a large and deep saucepan in a single layer. Avoid stacking eggs on top of the others. Make sure the eggs have enough space between them to move around. Eggs that are 1-2 weeks old and properly refrigerated are preferred as it is easier to peel their shells off.
- Fill the pan with water of room temperature and immerse the eggs in about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of water. Now add 1 teaspoon of vinegar or half teaspoon of salt according to your preference. It will keep the eggs from cracking in the pan.
- Put the pan on the stove and heat it on high temperature. Boil the water uncovered.
- Put off the gas and let the eggs stand for 7 to 16 minutes. The hardness of the eggs depends on the time you give to your eggs. 6 minutes are given when you want your yolks a little translucent and runny in the middle. 10- 12 minutes are preferred when you want firm yolk of a classic hard-boiled egg.
- Transfer the eggs in a strainer and move them under running cold water for a minute. Do not handle the eggs with naked hands.
- You can test if your eggs are done by taking out one egg with the help of a spoon and running it under cold water and finally cut it open with a knife. Check the yolk according to your taste and decide further.
- To peel off the shell, tap the egg gently on a hard surface to crack the shell. Now roll it with your palm till you find the cracks have spread all over the egg. Now place it under running water at room temperature. You can also soak the egg in water for 10-15 minutes.
Method 2: Soft- boiled eggs
- Take a large saucepan and fill it with water. Place your eggs carefully inside the pan and cover the eggs in about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of water. Turn the heat to high below the pan and wait for the water to start boiling. Once it starts boiling, simmer the heat.
- Let the eggs stand in the hot water for about 5-7 minutes depending on the type of yolk you want.
- Strain the water from the saucepan and place the eggs under running cold water.
- To take your egg out from the shell, place it upright in a small, uncooked grain filled bowl or cup to make sure the egg doesn’t lose its balance. Tap on the pointed top of the egg with a blunt knife to loosen the skin and then pull the egg off with your fingers.
- Don’t store the soft boiled egg for a long time. Discard the eggs which float on water as they are no longer fit for consumption.
